Now this is one of those Miata accessories that is truly remarkable. Yes, the I.L. Motorsport quick shift reduces gear throw about 40% opposed to the OEM throw. However, this short shifter also improves shifter feel and smoothness of operation because it features bushings on either side of the main pivot ball; this is one of the components that made the original NA Miata so famously good to shift curiously left out in the NB redesign.
The I.L. Quick Shift is German engineered and produced to the highest standards for 6 speed transmissions.
Imagine, race car like ultra-close gear throws, and that "snick-snick" feeling that you get when shifting a true sports car. Accordingly, the shorter throws shorter make for even faster gear changes; definitely a must have item for every NB Miata.
