4 of 5 Good shifter with some flaws July 31, 2021

The aluminum housing that came with the shifter looked like it had been dropped or not fully machined properly.  I had to remove a lip around one side of the housing to allow clearance for the plastic bushings.    After that the rest fit smooth and worked well.   The instructions could have been better but the end result was crisp, clean shifts.   Goes right into gear with a satisfying flick of the wrist.  Makes driving my 2010 Miata that much more enjoyable.

2 of 5 Good shifter, watch for quality May 31, 2021

Good short shift kit with a few issues. Mine had poor machining and the reverse lockout function was tight from the factory. I was able to sand down the spacer between the shafts and fix this, but the two pins that keep these shafts from rotating against each other have nylon spacers around them. These spacers got beaten to pieces on mine and now I have a bunch of rotation at the shift knob because of it. I contacted RSpeed and the VP emailed me back about it offering either a return or a significant refund and I keep the unit. Since I did this much to fix it, I'm going to keep it and make myself some replacement pins. Customer service was amazing and my emails were answered very quickly. I will definitely be using RSpeed again.
