I'm going to wrap it, so I ordered the open box.  I don't really notice any imperfections or scuffs.  I would be totally happy with this even if I wasn't going to cover it.

Also, anecdotally, it feels more sturdy than my original mazda one.  I don't know if its thicker or more dense, but it feels more "solid." for whatever thats worth.

I bought the open box Meter hood and it did have a few small scratches, but not bad. It fits, but not perfectly like the original. Overall happy due to the price verses the OEM item.
