There's another review before this from a fellow who mentioned that the nut sheered off the stud from his new motor-mount.  This happened to me too.  I was spinning the nut around with my torque wrench set to 55 foot pounds and "snap!" went the stud (prior to this, the nut was tightening with about 15 foot pounds worth of resistance).  I have since bought a competition motor mount from another company, and while I have yet to install it, I have noticed that the OEM Competition Mount feels much firmer than the R-speed mount.  I question whether this is a competition motor mount, or something else.

One was fine, but the driver's side mount was defective. During installation, the threaded shaft to the subframe sheared off at a mere 35 ft-lbs (yes, I was using a torque wrench). The minimum spec for the nut is 42 ft lbs, so I couldn't even get it to meet minimum spec. I doubt this is typical, based on the other reviews.

EDIT: Rspeed is sending a replacement right away. I have increased my rating to reflect their good customer service.

Recommend these to any Miata owner with higher millage. Great way to make my you car smooth and new feeling again.
